On June 8, 2026, Sun PhuQuoc Airways announced international general sales agents (GSAs) in Russia, China, and Malaysia, and signed cooperation with a Vietnamese travel company to open three additional domestic routes. The moves are intended to advance the airline’s market expansion strategy, strengthen its distribution capabilities, and connect key passenger flows to Vietnam.
At the announcement event, Sun PhuQuoc Airways officially named international GSAs in three markets—Russia, China, and Malaysia—selecting partners described as having strong distribution capabilities, broad agency networks, and long-standing experience in aviation and travel.
Beyond distributing the airline’s products, the partners will work with Sun PhuQuoc Airways to develop markets, expand the agency network, connect travel businesses, and promote destinations. The airline said Russia and China have long been among Phu Quoc’s major international markets, while Malaysia is positioned as an important gateway to ASEAN and Muslim travelers.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways stated that expanding its distribution network in these markets is expected to boost air connectivity, stimulate tourism, and increase its presence on the regional travel map.
To date, Sun PhuQuoc Airways has designated international GSAs in Taiwan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, and India. The airline said it will continue expanding its global distribution by partnering with additional potential agents in markets including Australia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Oman, the Czech Republic, Mongolia, and Japan.
Alongside its international expansion, Sun PhuQuoc Airways will strengthen its domestic market through a strategic partnership with Viet Media Travel, described as one of Vietnam’s renowned tour operators.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways said the simultaneous expansion of its distribution network abroad, increased cooperation with domestic travel partners, and the opening of new routes reflect a cohesive development plan for the next period. The airline added that, in parallel with scaling up, it is gradually increasing connectivity between Phu Quoc and other domestic and international markets, supporting tourism, trade, and exchanges among destinations.
