In the precious metals market, global prices showed a mixed trend across the latest 1-, 7- and 30-day windows, while the only domestic item provided pointed to a decline in SJC gold selling prices.
According to the latest domestic update for 24/5, SJC gold’s selling price fell to 161.5 million VND/tael.
On the international side, gold was reported at 6,379 USD/lb, unchanged versus the previous day (previous day: 6,379), but down versus 7 days ago (6.28) and 30 days ago (6.0285).
Palladium was at 1,360.3 USD/oz. It eased versus the previous day (previous day: 1,360.3), but was higher than 7 days ago (1,438.5) and 30 days ago (1,506.5), indicating a pullback over the longer lookbacks.
Platinum stood at 1,939.7 USD/oz. The price matched the previous day (previous day: 1,939.7) and was lower than 7 days ago (1,989.7) and 30 days ago (2,021).
Silver was quoted at 76.199 USD/oz, holding steady versus the previous day (previous day: 76.199). It was slightly higher 7 days ago (76.81) and higher than 30 days ago (75.685).
Overall, the data points to stability versus the previous day for gold, palladium, platinum and silver, with softer levels versus 7 and 30 days ago for palladium and platinum, while silver and gold show mixed movement across the longer periods.
