Ripple is preparing Swell 2026, its largest conference to date, as the company brings together institutional blockchain adoption and continued growth on the XRP Ledger. The New York event will combine Swell with XRPL Apex for the first time, with organizers expecting more than 1,500 attendees from finance, blockchain, and digital assets.
Ripple executives have framed the gathering around institutional adoption and broader ecosystem expansion. In comments posted on June 18, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said: “I’ve been in crypto long enough to know when a moment is real. This is one of them.”
Garlinghouse added: “10 years of Swell converging with real scale, institutional adoption, and Swell + Apex together for the first time this fall. We’ve been building toward this moment — see you in New York!”
Organizers expect the combined Swell and XRPL Apex format to draw more than 1,500 attendees, feature over 75 speakers, and include more than 50 sessions across three stages. The program is designed to bring together financial institutions, fintech companies, developers, researchers, investors, and members of the XRP community under a single event.
Ripple has highlighted enterprise use cases for XRP and its RLUSD stablecoin, including treasury management functions for corporate finance teams. The company also pointed to XRP’s settlement speed and low transaction costs, citing “more than 4 billion completed transactions on the XRP Ledger” as evidence of network utility.
Monica Long, president of Ripple, described Swell 2026 as the company’s biggest Swell conference to date. Her remarks emphasized expanded programming and multiple audience tracks, noting New York’s role as a global financial hub.
Long said: “Ripple Swell 2026 will be our biggest event ever, with main stage keynotes, multiple tracks (Institutional, Ecosystem, and Innovation), and much more.”
She added: “An experience that’s both audacious and illuminating, taking place in the financial capital of the world – that’s what you’ll find at Ripple Swell.”
David Schwartz highlighted a range of XRP Ledger use cases ahead of the event, including payments, tokenization, interoperability, decentralized finance, artificial intelligence, and ongoing network development.
Featured speakers include Matt Damon, co-founder of Water.org; Tom Farley, chairman and CEO of Bullish and former president of the New York Stock Exchange; Brad Garlinghouse; Billy Hult, CEO of Tradeweb; Monica Long; and David Schwartz. The lineup spans financial markets, digital assets, technology, and philanthropy, aligning with the conference’s institutional, ecosystem, and innovation-focused programming.
