Colonel Vu Van Tan, head of the Police Department for Administrative Management of Social Order (C06) at the Ministry of Public Security, said the VNeID application is rated by the World Bank as one of the most exemplary platforms in Southeast Asia. He added that the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology also confirms Vietnam is among the first five countries to meet security standards on this platform.
In his opening remarks, Colonel Vu Van Tan said the 2020-2025 period marks a strong turning point for the Police force responsible for Administrative Management of Social Order. He said the force has overcome difficulties through “honor, hard work, and determination,” building the national population database and the civil identification and authentication system.
He noted that the government’s Project 06, focused on developing applications for population data, identity, and electronic authentication to support national digital transformation, has contributed to social change. According to Colonel Vu Van Tan, the project has opened a new era in administrative reform, digital transformation, and state administration, bringing tangible benefits to citizens, businesses, and government agencies.
Addressing the fast-changing global environment and the threshold of a new era, Colonel Vu Van Tan said the Police force for Administrative Management of Social Order must act as a vanguard in science and technology and in innovation for national digital transformation. He also described the force as the leading flag in the “Three Best” emulation movement initiated by the Ministry.
The exemplary conference was described as a political activity aimed at educating tradition, awakening patriotism, and creating renewed motivation for officers and soldiers to achieve more results.
The conference also summarized and awarded the Prize for the 80-year tradition of the Police force for Administrative Management of Social Order.
