On April 17, the Cao Bang Provincial Police’s electronic information portal published a notice detailing the results of detecting traffic violations via the traffic surveillance camera system. According to the notice, authorities detected 50 violations from April 2 to April 15.
The notice said the two main violations were motorcycle riders not complying with traffic signals and car drivers speeding.

After posting the notice, Cao Bang Police urged violators to come to the Traffic Police Department at Song Hien 05 Hamlet, Thuc Phan Ward, Cao Bang Province to settle in accordance with regulations.
If violators fail to appear, the province will coordinate with local authorities where the vehicle owner resides, studies, works, or where their headquarters are located to handle the case.
Within 20 days, information on violations will be posted on the Traffic Police Department’s website, updating the warning status to the Inspection Agency (for vehicles requiring inspection) to handle.
Under Decree 168/2024/ND-CP, effective from January 1, 2025, motorcycle riders and similar vehicles that fail to comply with traffic signal commands will be fined 4 to 6 million VND and will lose 4 driving license points.
In cases where such riders fail to comply with signals and cause a traffic accident, fines will be 10 to 14 million VND and 10 driving license points will be deducted.
For car drivers exceeding the speed limit:
If speeding in excess of the limit results in a traffic accident, fines will be 20 to 22 million VND and 10 points off the license.
