On April 11 in Da Nang, the Da Nang Center for Research and Training in IC Design and Artificial Intelligence, in collaboration with TPV Datatrust Joint Stock Company, launched the DataX Platform—an initiative aimed at building a transparent, safe, and compliant infrastructure for activities related to digital assets. The event was positioned as a milestone for Vietnam’s fintech sector.
At the launch, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thach, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Science and Technology, said the city is focusing on key areas including fintech, semiconductor microelectronics, artificial intelligence, and digital data. He highlighted that bringing the Vietnam International Financial Center to Da Nang is a strategic move intended to support the development of the digital economy.
Thach also emphasized that the DataX initiative is designed to help Da Nang develop infrastructure for digital asset activities that meets requirements for transparency, safety, and compliance. He said the platform is intended to provide an essential base for businesses and digital technology experts to invest, work, and expand their operations, contributing to the success of the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang and to the sustainable development of the city’s digital economy.
“Da Nang welcomes, encourages, and creates conditions for innovative enterprises, especially those implementing solutions that contribute to improved governance, market transparency, and the broader development of science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in general and the digital economy in particular.”
According to Thach, close cooperation among regulators, businesses, and experts to address “problems” and create new development space—while ensuring safety and transparency—is key to development.
During the program, delegates heard experts discuss overcoming system bottlenecks, cybersecurity risks in the quantum computing era, and the coordination mechanism in the sandbox model in Vietnam.
The event also included the signing of memoranda of understanding between strategic partners, signaling progress for TPV Datatrust in developing compliant technology solutions.
The DataX Platform’s launch was described as an important step toward developing compliant technology solutions and completing the digital financial ecosystem in Da Nang. Through the platform and related connectivity activities, the city reiterated its role as a potential destination for technology companies, experts, and investors in the fintech sector, with the goal of supporting sustainable digital economy development and international integration.
