Ecopark launches Forest Onsen, a high-rise wellness complex in southern Vietnam

Forest Onsen is the first high-rise therapeutic onsen complex developed by Ecopark’s founder, integrated into Eco Retreat megacity. Eco Retreat spans 220 hectares at the western gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, about 30 minutes from Bach Dang Wharf.

The core of mineral springs lies in the mineral content and quality absorbed by the body, which can improve blood circulation, relieve pain, detoxify, support musculoskeletal therapy, and improve skin texture.

At Ecopark Hung Yen, the soda mineral spring pool is designed to soften skin and remove surface oils, delivering a refreshing feel after bathing.

With modern heating technology, mineral water temperatures can be flexibly controlled (typically 38–42°C), and mineral content can be tuned for relaxation, recovery, beauty, or therapeutic purposes. This approach supports the idea of bringing mineral spring therapies into residents’ daily living spaces.

Building on Mori Onsen expertise, Ecopark’s founder has integrated hot spring therapies and multiple health-support spaces into daily living, turning mineral springs into a sustainable wellness lifestyle for residents.

Forest Onsen: a high-rise therapeutic complex designed around wellness

Forest Onsen is a complex comprising two twin towers — Forest and Onsen — designed with a seamless landscape intended to embody a Zen Japanese spirit from ground level up to the 5A facilities.

The complex is organized around a wellness landscape that supports rest and recovery. From the inner landscape, residents encounter greenery canopies and Japanese-inspired elements including gravel gardens, meditation pathways, resting alcoves with tranquil water sounds, and a breeze that flows through the space.

Health-care facilities and session cycles

The health-care amenities are located on level 5A, connected across the four towers to form a 5,000m2 integrated complex offering varied cycles: 90 minutes, 45 minutes, and compact 20-minute sessions.

• 90-minute cycle: gentle warm-ups, forest bathing, vigorous activities such as gym and swimming, and deep mineral-therapy sessions.
• 45-minute option: meditation, yoga, sauna, and steam for detoxification and improved circulation.
• 20-minute session: designed to deliver positive health effects even within a shorter timeframe.

Residents can access mineral spring therapy at the Onsen Clubhouse with a quick 3-minute rinse, followed by a soak-wash-dry-rest sequence, or they can end the cycle after just 20 minutes while continuing to receive health benefits.

The model is designed to be familiar and approachable, comparable to everyday routines such as drinking coffee each morning or removing makeup and skincare at night.

On-site living and dining features

Forest Onsen includes a health-care apartment with a garden before entering the home. A Japanese restaurant is integrated with a Japanese garden on the ground level, and a dedicated elevator provides direct access to level 5A for a seamless experience.

Location, site scale, and environmental setting

Located at the Eco Retreat gateway in the seasonal Festival district, Forest Onsen sits on a 2.2ha site with a view of Swan Lake (10ha). It is easily connected to the district’s amenities and is supported by more than 4 million trees and eight evergreen plant layers throughout the year.
