Facebook experiences an unusual display error in Vietnam. According to several Facebook users in Vietnam, the issue arises when posting text-only content. Specifically, after posting a text-only status, the post is recorded by the system but the interface is not refreshed, causing users to believe the content has not been posted or that there is a display error. The News Feed only updates when the app is reloaded, manually refreshed, or when another post with an image or video is published. The phenomenon appears on both mobile apps and the web version, though the impact may vary by region and device. Some users have suggested that this could be related to data synchronization (cache), the content distribution system, or Facebook's media-format prioritization algorithm. In addition, many Facebook users in Vietnam have reported a separate display issue where images uploaded to the platform turn black and white, affecting both personal posts and comments with attached images. According to user reports, the original images stored on phones or computers still display in color; however, after posting to Facebook, many images automatically switch to grayscale. While there has been no official statement from Meta yet, such issues typically occur when the platform updates its systems, adjusts the News Feed algorithm, or experiences temporary server glitches. While a fix is being developed, users can try the following: log out and back in, clear the app cache, update the app to the latest version, attach an image/video if necessary to ensure immediate display, or use a web browser instead of the app if the mobile app encounters the error. The exact cause has not been confirmed. If this is a broad outage, Meta is expected to release a patch soon.
