WhiteBIT and FC Barcelona signed a five-year partnership extending through 2030, with the exchange serving as the club's official crypto partner and having a presence across the men’s, women’s, and basketball teams, as well as collaborating with the Barça Innovation Hub. Volodymyr Nosov, president and founder of W Group, WhiteBIT’s parent company, stated that the goal is to “bring cryptocurrencies beyond the industry and into everyday life, creating experiences that millions of fans can actually use.” Toward Mass Adoption Through Sport: The world of sport is becoming a vector for crypto adoption at scale, an approach that has grown increasingly popular among exchanges. WhiteBIT and FC Barcelona are betting on turning football and basketball into platforms for technological integration, bringing crypto assets to audiences that, for the most part, have yet to engage with the crypto industry.
