Grab has honored 60 standout restaurants at the Quán 'Trứ Danh' awards ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City, held as part of the 22nd Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism. The initiative recognizes dining venues that help define the city’s culinary identity while promoting local tourism and experiences through the GrabFood platform.
The event follows a cooperation agreement signed between Grab and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in December 2025. GrabFood’s role is to connect consumers with local cuisine by featuring partner restaurants in the GrabFood collection “Quán Trứ Danh,” alongside the on-site recognition at the awards ceremony.
Momentum Works estimates Vietnam’s online food delivery market GMV in 2025 at about $2.1 billion. In this environment, GrabFood continues to expand access to local dishes for both residents and visitors.
The list of 60 restaurants was selected through multiple screening steps, using data from the GrabFood platform and on-ground assessment. Restaurants were required to achieve 4.5 stars or higher with a substantial number of reviews. Operational standards and service experience—such as quality of service, hygiene, and community feedback—were also considered to support objectivity and practicality in the selection.
The honorees are grouped into three categories: Signature Flavors; Premier Experience; and Growth Star.
Cardas Research & Consulting said GrabFood is the top brand in helping partner restaurants expand their customer base, support business operations, and generate sales.
The Ho Chi Minh City Quán 'Trứ Danh' awards are part of a broader series of local culinary recognition initiatives Grab has implemented with authorities in multiple provinces and cities, including Hai Phong, Hue, and Da Nang. The series highlights GrabFood’s use of platform data alongside cultural and tourism promotion to position cuisine as a key part of the travel experience.
Pham Huy Binh, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said: “Through the Ho Chi Minh City Quán 'Trứ Danh' awards, the city’s distinctive culinary values are celebrated and connected with the digital platform to reach more visitors at home and abroad. The combination of traditional values and modern technology not only enhances the travel experience but also opens a new path for promoting tourism in the city, where each culinary product can become a touchpoint in the urban exploration journey.”
In addition to the awards, Grab is implementing various conveniences to improve the traveler’s experience during the festival. These activities are designed to help visitors access notable culinary destinations and further promote Ho Chi Minh City’s culinary tourism on the digital platform.
