Hanoi's Ring Road 2.5 has progressed with partial openings as construction continues. In the Nguyen Trai - Dam Hong section, about 300 meters from the start toward Nguyen Trai Street to the Thuong Dinh bridge area has been opened to traffic. The lighting system, sidewalks, and landscaping are largely completed, with contractors mobilizing to finish paving stone sidewalks and traffic signs. This opening coincides with the 72nd anniversary of Hanoi's Liberation Day. Separately, the Cau Giay - Duong Dinh Nghhe segment has asphalted surfaces, completed road markings and basic directional signs, and a central median planted with trees and flowers with a synchronized lighting system. While most major items are taking shape, some locations remain under construction to complete the route. Previously, on September 28, the Ring Road 2.5 through the Tay Ho Tay area was opened for technical traffic. The route is about 582 meters long, connecting Tay Ho West (Starlake), Ngoai Giao Doan and Nam Thang Long (Ciputra) urban areas, improving traffic connectivity among western Hanoi urban areas. Bringing the segments of Ring Road 2.5 into traffic step by step is part of completing Hanoi's traffic network and will improve traffic flow between urban areas and open more movement directions for residents.
Opening segments of Ring Road 2.5 is intended to enhance connectivity and advance Hanoi's broader traffic network. The objective is to bring sections into traffic progressively as construction completes, improving movement options for residents across western Hanoi.
