As of now, Ho Chi Minh City has announced seven lists of projects eligible for sale to foreign buyers. Including the latest batch, the total number of projects permitted to be marketed to this client group in the city has risen to 131. The City People's Committee has just announced eight additional housing development projects in the area that are permitted to be sold to foreign organizations and individuals. The largest project in this batch is Eco Pearl City’s An Dien Ecological Residential Area in Long Dien commune, covering about 36.2 hectares, developed by Eco Pearl City Group Joint Stock Company. This project develops along an ecological housing model with a substantial land area relative to other projects on the list. Next is the service-commercial residential complex development area in Tan Quy street in Dong Hoa Ward, about 4.31 hectares, developed by Thien Ha - Bang Duong Investment Construction Co., Ltd. In An Khanh Ward (old Thu Duc City), two projects involving CapitaLand continue to appear, including Vista high-end apartment complex about 2.36 hectares and the Sensation residential/commercial complex about 0.8 hectares. Additionally, there is a high-rise residential project in Hiep Phuoc Commune by Green Harmony Construction Co., Ltd, about 1.98 hectares, and the An Thanh Square 1.2-hectare urban area - commercial - service project developed by Thai Binh Investment Company in Di An Ward. In the old Bình Dương area there is An Khang (A&K Tower) by OBC Thuan An on nearly 9,400 square meters in An Phu Ward and the An Phu residential project developed by An Phu Land Real Estate Investment Co., Ltd. on 8,500 square meters. Earlier in April, the City People’s Committee also announced a list of six housing development projects in the city allowed to be sold to foreigners. The housing area in Binh Trung Ward developed by Bình Trung Mới Real Estate Co., Ltd. Another housing area in Bình Trung Ward developed by Doan Nguyen Housing Investment and Development Co., Ltd. The An Khang high-rise project by OBC Thuan An invested for sale to foreigners. The high-rise apartment and commercial-office complex in Binh Tay Ward developed by Minh Anh Real Estate Services Co., Ltd. The Phu Dong SkyOne apartments in Tan Dong Hiep Ward developed by Phu Dong 5 Investment. Thus, to date, Ho Chi Minh City has announced seven lists of projects eligible for sale to foreigners. Including the latest batch, the total number of projects allowed to be marketed to foreigners stands at 131. Under the 2023 Housing Law and Decree 95/2024, foreign organizations and individuals may own housing in Vietnam if they meet legal conditions, such as having an investment registration certificate (for project investors) or a valid operating license if not directly investing, and must own only within projects not in defense or security zones.
