A project to develop an ecotourism, resort and entertainment service area on Tha La Peninsula at Dau Tieng Lake in Dau Tieng commune is being prepared for an investment call by the Dau Tieng commune People’s Committee. The planned land use covers nearly 206.9 hectares, with the complex designed to serve nearly 29,500 visitors per day and accommodate more than 11,000 guests staying per day.
Total investment is about 18.175 trillion dong. Once operational, the tourism complex is expected to create around 12,000 jobs, supporting local socio-economic development. The schedule targets completion of all components, including acceptance and handover for full business operation, by Q4 2040.
The project is oriented toward a multi-functional resort complex that integrates lodging, healthcare, cuisine, sports, conferences and entertainment, linked to nature-based experiences. It focuses on sustainable ecotourism, aiming to harmonize with the landscape of Dau Tieng Lake and the surrounding forest ecosystem, while conserving natural resources and creating a new growth driver for the area.
In early June 2025, the Bình Dương Provincial People’s Council approved master plans for subdivision at a 1/2000 scale for two ecotourism, resort and entertainment areas.
One approval covered an ecotourism, resort and entertainment area on Tha La Peninsula at Dau Tieng Lake in Định Thành commune, Dau Tieng district. The total planning land area is 458 hectares, including developable land for tourism and 36 hectares of natural water surface to allocate piers and water bodies (for aquatic life and aquatic plants).
The area is bordered by Dau Tieng Lake to the north, south and west, and by the Suối Cầu protection forest and DH.703ND road to the east.
Under the plan, the ecotourism project is designed to serve more than 61,600 visitors per day, with lodging capacity for 13,600 guests and an expected total of 4,880 rooms. The project is also expected to create about 16,000 direct and indirect jobs.
On the same day, the provincial council approved the planning task at a 1/2000 scale for the Cánh đồng Cây Siu ecotourism, resort and entertainment area in Thanh Tuyền commune, Dau Tieng district. The planning area is about 222 hectares, with a research scope of 242 hectares.
The project character is a tourism, resort and entertainment complex combined with a golf course. It connects to the ecotourism service area and the Cu Chi tunnel site expansion.
It is expected to attract about 4,200 to 4,800 visitors per day on weekdays and up to 5,500 visitors on holidays. The labor scale is estimated at about 6,750 people.
