Nearly 180 social housing units in Quang Minh commune, Hanoi, will open for purchase registrations from late June at a price of 14.5 million dong per square meter. The smallest unit is about 56.12 square meters, priced around 820 million dong, while the largest is over 998 million dong. The Hanoi Department of Construction has announced information on selling social housing on plots CT05 and CT06 of the Thanh Lam - Dai Thinh 2 New Urban Area, Quang Minh commune (Me Linh district before merger). Each building tower has 89 units for sale and 33 for rent. In this phase a total of 178 units will be put on sale. According to the announcement, the sale price at CT05 is 14.6 million dong per m2 (VAT included, maintenance fee not included). Thus, the smallest unit (56.12 m2) is about 820 million dong and the largest is over 998 million dong (68.38 m2). At CT06, the selling price starts from 14.5 million dong per m2 (VAT included, maintenance fee not included). This price corresponds to the cheapest unit from 813 million dong and the most expensive 991 million dong. The developer says CT05 can be handed over to buyers in Q1 2027, while CT06 in Q4 2027. Currently, this is one of Hanoi’s cheapest social housing projects to be opened for sale. Since late 2024, many social housing projects in Hanoi have started construction, but prices have tended upward. This is one of Hanoi’s new social housing projects opened at low cost; social housing prices in Hanoi have recently hit new highs, with some projects exceeding 32 million dong per m2. Also in Quang Minh, Hanoi’s Department of Construction recently announced information on social housing on plots CT-01, CT-02 and CT-07 in Thanh Lam - Dai Thinh 2, with HUD as investor. CT-01 and CT-02 have a total of 265 units, of which 159 are for sale and the remainder for rent. Sale units range from 54.53 m2 to 66.53 m2, at a price of about 15.7 million dong per m2 (VAT and maintenance included). With this price, the smallest apartment costs about 855 million dong, while the largest exceeds 1.04 billion. CT-07 has 215 units, with 123 for sale in sizes from about 35 m2 to 69 m2, and 74 for rent. The selling price here is 15.77 million dong per m2 (VAT and maintenance included). The social housing area is planned to be completed and put into use by Q4 2027. The intake period for purchase applications is expected to begin in Q3 2026. Ninh Phan
