On April 23, the Đạ Huoai 3 Commune Police in Lam Dong Province assisted Mr. Nguyen Son Tra, residing in Toen 7, Đạ Huoai 3, to complete procedures to return 51,000,000 VND to Mr. Doan Cong Thinh, residing in Ward Ban Thach, Da Nang City, who had mistakenly transferred the funds to Tra’s account. Previously, Mr. Doan Cong Thinh used his bank account to perform a transaction but accidentally transferred to Mr. Nguyen Son Tra’s account. After discovering the error, Thinh contacted him multiple times to request the return of the money. However, due to concerns about online fraud, Tra did not immediately process the refund. On this basis, the Đạ Huoai 3 Commune Police conducted a verification, spoke with the involved parties, and explained the case contents while guiding the proper procedure in accordance with regulations. As a result, Nguyen Son Tra understood the situation and voluntarily cooperated to refund the full amount of 51,000,000 VND to Doan Cong Thinh. After receiving the funds, Doan Cong Thinh sent a letter of thanks to the Đạ Huoai 3 Police and to Nguyen Son Tra, expressing appreciation for the police’s responsible handling, the dedication of the officers, and the integrity shown by the people. The incident not only demonstrates the local police’s commitment to public service but also promotes positive values in society. It also serves as a reminder for citizens to remain vigilant in financial transactions and to promptly contact authorities when issues arise for timely and lawful resolution.
