MB Deputy General Director does not sell all 1 million MB shares registered

MB’s Deputy General Director, Pham Thi Trung Ha, sold 678,900 MB shares out of 1 million shares registered for sale. The transaction completed 68% of the registered order. The company disclosed that the remaining shares were not fully executed due to a change in the executive’s personal consumption plans. Following the sale, Ha’s MB stake declined from nearly 4.04 million shares to around 3.36 million shares, reducing ownership from about 0.0501% to 0.0417%.

MB bond issuance in June 2026

On June 9, 2026, MB issued 1,500 bonds with code MBB12614. Each bond has a par value of 100 million dong, bringing the issue value to 150 billion dong. The bonds have a 10-year tenor and are expected to mature on June 9, 2036. According to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the issue carries a coupon rate of 8.4% per year. Information on bondholders, issuance purposes, and collateral was not disclosed.

Earlier, on June 5, 2026, MB issued two bond series: 500 bonds with code MBB12612 and 1,000 bonds with code MBB12613. Each bond also has a par value of 100 million dong. The issue values were 50 billion dong (MBB12612) and 100 billion dong (MBB12613). Both tranches have a 10-year tenor, with planned maturities on June 5, 2036.

Bond buybacks and planned repurchase

MB has also been active in bond buybacks. On May 27, 2026, the bank paid 200 billion dong to prematurely redeem bond MBBL2431011. The bond was issued on May 27, 2024, with a par value of 200 billion dong, a 7-year tenor, and a planned maturity of May 27, 2031. MB redeemed the entire bond issue after two years.

In addition, MB plans to spend 2,000 billion dong to repurchase the entire issue of bond MBB12510, with execution scheduled for June 23, 2026. The bond was issued domestically in June 2025, has a 3-year tenor, and is due to mature in June 2028.
