Citizens currently have three ways to replace the paper BHYT card when seeking medical treatment. The process is designed to save time on procedures and reduce the risk of forgetting or losing the paper card.
Citizens present their chip-enabled citizen identification card at the medical facility. Medical staff will look up BHYT information using the individual’s personal identification number.
Citizens can use a BHYT card verified in the VNeID app (electronic identification level 2) by signing into VNeID, going to the BHYT section, and presenting the information to medical staff for processing.
