According to the adjustment of Tây Ninh province's planning, the Đức Hòa – Hậu Nghĩa area is directed to develop into the province's administrative, economic, and logistics hub in the future. The area is oriented to become the province's new political-administrative center, as well as a key economic, financial, and logistics hub in the future. After the merger of Tây Ninh and Long An provinces, the new administrative unit retains the name Tây Ninh. Đức Hòa Commune was established by merging the town of Đức Hòa, Đức Hòa Hạ and Hựu Thạnh. The center of Đức Hòa's residential area mainly develops along major transportation corridors such as DT824, DT830, DT10 and National Route N2, keeping land reserves abundant for urban and industrial development. The DT824 road is considered the artery through the center of Đức Hòa, a four-lane road with a central divider, connecting Ho Chi Minh City to the Ben Luc area, boosting regional connectivity. About 10 km from Đức Hòa is Hậu Nghĩa commune – another area planned by the province to become the new administrative-political center in the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. Hậu Nghĩa commune was established by merging the town of Hậu Nghĩa with Đức Lập Thượng and Tân Mỹ communes, covering over 66 km² and more than 46,000 people. In recent years, transport infrastructure, parks, and urban developments in the center of Hậu Nghĩa have been invested in modernizing. Many new urban areas have formed, contributing to urban transformation and raising living standards for local residents.
