Au Lac Group has increased its ownership stake in Asia Commercial Bank (ACB, HoSE: ACB) to 6% of the bank’s charter capital following the purchase of nearly 8.4 million ACB shares by Jenny Nguyen Thien Huong on May 4, 2026.
Jenny Nguyen Thien Huong is the daughter of Ngô Thu Thúy, chairwoman of Au Lac Group. Other related individuals and entities, including Nguyen Duc Hinh (husband of Thúy) and Nguyen Duc Hieu Johnny (their son), together with International Education Village Thiên Huong and ICON, hold a combined total of more than 190.1 million ACB shares, equivalent to about 3.7% of the bank’s charter capital.
After Jenny Thien Huong’s transaction, Au Lac Group holds nearly 308.3 million ACB shares, equal to 6% of charter capital.
At the 2026 annual general meeting held in Ho Chi Minh City on the morning of April 9, 2026, ACB’s leadership said Au Lac Group has more than 20 years of partnership with the bank and is expected to continue contributing to growth in the coming period.
ACB’s consolidated first-quarter 2026 results show net interest income of about 6,989.2 billion VND, up 9.9% year-on-year. After taxes and fees, net profit reached about 4,320.4 billion VND, up 17.5%.
As of March 31, 2026, total assets rose to over 1.03 quadrillion VND. Customer loans were about 701,211.8 billion VND, accounting for roughly 68% of total assets. Liabilities stood at about 932,149.7 billion VND, while customer deposits exceeded 569,109.6 billion VND, or about 61.1% of total liabilities.
