The State Securities Commission (SSC) has issued an administrative decision imposing penalties on Beta Securities Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City) with a total fine of 362.5 million VND.
Of the total, 187.5 million VND relates to violations of lending restrictions. The SSC said Beta Securities lent to several individuals through advances (capital disbursement) at various times in 2024 and 2025.
The remaining 175 million VND was imposed for reporting false information. The company reported inaccurate figures regarding its financial safety ratio on the dates 31/5/2024, 31/7/2024, 30/9/2025 and 30/10/2025.
Under the SSC’s decision, Beta Securities is required to report accurate information for the misreporting violation, pursuant to Clause 4, Article 43 of Decree 156/2020/ND-CP as amended by Decree 128/2021/ND-CP.
Beta Securities JSC was established on December 6, 2007, with charter capital currently at 400 billion VND.
Previously, the company was fined 125 million VND for violations related to receiving orders and executing client orders.
In Q1 2026, Beta Securities posted a loss of 6.8 billion VND, compared with a loss of over 2.8 billion VND in the same period. Retained earnings after tax decreased from over 15.277 billion VND to nearly 8.4 billion VND.
Earlier, the SSC fined a series of companies 92.5 million VND each for bond-related disclosure violations. The related companies include Neo Floor JSC (Hai Phong), Tri An Private General Hospital JSC (Ho Chi Minh City), Hai Phong Water Transport Joint Stock Company, and Saigon Fisheries Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City).
