FWD Insurance Group, founded in 2013 by Ly Trac Giai, the youngest son of billionaire Li Ka-shing, serves 38 million customers across 10 markets in Asia. Led by CEO Huỳnh Thanh Phong, a Vietnamese-Canadian, the group reported net profit of US$166 million for 2025, up from US$24 million in 2024.
FWD said new business sales across the group totaled US$2.446 trillion, representing growth of 25%. Net income after tax reached US$499 million. The results supported the CEO’s total compensation of more than US$6.8 million for the year.
Within the group, the Emerging Markets segment recorded 27% growth in new business. Vietnam contributed to the agency channel’s growth despite broader market headwinds in 2025.
