Two Gia Lai-based companies were fined more than 700 million VND for environmental violations, including Hà Tiên Green Energy Co., Ltd., which discharged wastewater beyond permitted standards. On the morning of April 18, the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department's Economic Police announced administrative penalties on two firms for violations of environmental protection regulations, with a total penalty of over 700 million VND. Hà Tiên Green Energy Co., Ltd. was found to emit smoke contributing to environmental pollution. Earlier, during inspections, authorities found that Hong Hoa Private Enterprise Production and Trading (Go Da Trong Industrial Cluster, An Nhon Ward) had transferred and sold more than 5,000 kg of hazardous waste to entities lacking disposal capabilities. For this act, the company was fined 470 million VND and required to transfer all hazardous waste to a properly licensed disposal unit under regulations. At the same time, at Hà Tiên Green Energy Co., Ltd. (Hoai Tan Industrial Cluster, Hoai Nhon Nam Ward), the working group detected abnormal discharge. The forensic result showed CO concentration exceeding the technical standard by 1.16 times. As a result, this company was fined more than 243 million VND and ordered to bear all costs of the environmental sample testing.
