After two sessions of declines that hit their daily limits, morning trading on May 6 showed signs of stabilization for NVL, the Novaland Investment Group Joint Stock Company. Liquidity improved as selling pressure at the floor price was absorbed completely, unlike the previous two sessions when floor-priced selling piled up in millions of shares. Although the price continued to retreat, it was down only about 3%. Turnover exceeded 58 million shares, with more than 22 million shares matched at the floor price.
Earlier, after failing to breach the 21,000 dong per share level at the end of April, NVL’s price fell more than 15%. Despite the recent weakness, the stock price remains about 75% higher than the year’s low.
On the business front, in Q1 2026 Novaland reported revenue of about 3,587 billion dong, doubling year-on-year and reaching the highest level in five quarters. The main drivers were property transfers at projects including Sunrise Riverside, Aqua City, NovaWorld Phan Thiết, and NovaWorld Ho Tram.
After deducting costs, the company posted net profit of around 860 billion dong. This marked the second consecutive quarter with positive growth and a significant improvement from a loss of more than 476 billion dong in the same period a year earlier.
Regarding governance, Novaland announced that the board of directors elected Bui Cao Nhat Quan (son of Mr. Nhon) as Chairman for the 2026–2031 term, replacing Bui Thanh Nhon. The company also established the Strategy-ESG Committee, chaired by Bui Thanh Nhon.
Recently, Aqua City, a key project in Novaland’s development strategy, issued a notice about accepting applications for pink books for residents at the project. Under the plan, Aqua City aims to hand over about 752 pink books to residents in the Sun Harbor 2 and Ever Green 1 sub-areas in 2026, with the first batch of handovers scheduled to begin in June 2026.
Notably, Aqua City covers 1,000 hectares and is expected to support the development of a modern riverside urban chain, providing momentum for the region’s economic, social, tourism, and service growth.
