Dong A University has organized the Vietnam–Japan Culture Festival and the Japan Job Fair 2026, attracting more than 4,000 participants with a range of cultural and language experiences and recruitment connections, opening more than 500 job opportunities for students. The event is the 11th annual activity of Dong A University, commemorating 53 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan (1973–2026) and more than two years since elevating the bilateral relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the world. In remarks at the opening ceremony on April 17, Mori Takero, the Japanese Consul-General in Da Nang, praised the university’s role in promoting educational cooperation and employment with Japan. He emphasized that the university has achieved notable results not only in academics but also in internship and employment programs, and expected the fair to yield positive outcomes. According to organizers, this year’s event gathered 30 Japanese partners, with more than 20 companies directly and online participating in recruitment, offering a total of 512 job positions for students across various fields. This is an opportunity for students to access employers, learn about job requirements, and participate in interviews at the event. Within the program, four new cooperation agreements were signed with Japanese companies, expanding the university’s partner network in Japan to 196 units, alongside nine provinces/cities and 13 universities or research institutes. These agreements broaden internship and international work opportunities for students in many fields. Notably, 60 'Vietnam–Japan Bridge' scholarships were awarded to students in fields such as Construction, Nursing, Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics and International Business. The total value of the scholarships is nearly VND 400 million, with support for Japanese language training, professional skills, and internships in Japan. In addition to recruitment activities, the program included thematic sessions on training and human resources development, especially in nursing, automotive engineering, and tourism–hospitality in Japan. This information helps students better align with international labor market demands. A highlight is the collaboration program between Dong A University and Aijinkai Social Health Group. After 10 years, more than 150 nursing students have participated in internships and work in Japan, with many continuing to work there long-term. An Aijinkai representative praised the students’ diligence and professional capabilities, viewing them as a potential workforce for both Japan and Vietnam in the future. To date, more than 1,000 students from the university have participated in study, internship, and work programs in Japan.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
