Two items were added to the agenda of the First Session of the XVI National Assembly for consideration and approval. The first is a draft law amending and supplementing provisions of the Personal Income Tax Law, the Value-Added Tax Law, the Corporate Income Tax Law, and the Special Consumption Tax Law. The second is a funding plan to implement a decision of an international arbitration tribunal.
Accordingly, the timing of consideration and approval of some contents will be adjusted as appropriate. The National Assembly will allocate an extra 0.5 day of working time. The First Session of the XVI National Assembly is expected to adjourn on the morning of Friday, 24 April 2026.
The second item also involves sending deputies the Government Report No. 217 dated 18 April 2026, concerning the advance payment for the Fuel Stabilization Fund from increased central budget revenues.
After hearing the Tờ Trình, the National Assembly voted to amend and supplement the First Session’s program of the XVI National Assembly by electronic voting. With 462 of 466 deputies voting in favor (92.40% of the total), the National Assembly approved the addition to the First Session’s agenda.
