UFO-themed Solana meme coins surged after the Pentagon published its first declassified UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) documents on Friday, sparking speculation across the crypto market. Several meme tokens tied to alien and UFO narratives posted strong gains as traders moved into the trending sector.
The Department of War launched the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE), unveiling Release 01 through a new public portal on WAR.GOV/UFO. Authorities said additional document releases will continue in phases over the coming weeks, which helped fuel continued interest in UFO-related crypto assets.
Among the biggest winners was UFOPEPE (UFO), a Solana-based meme coin combining Pepe-themed branding with UFO imagery. The token rose roughly 44.68% following the announcement. Another project, UFO Token, gained 30.79%, while UFO Gaming recorded a smaller increase of nearly 6%.
Despite the overall bullish momentum, performance was inconsistent across similarly named tokens. The original UFO Token later dropped close to 5%, underscoring the high-risk nature of speculative meme coin trading and the confusion created by multiple assets using similar branding.
Solana remains a dominant venue for low-cap meme coin trading, supported by momentum on launchpads such as Pump.fun. Retail participation and viral narratives have contributed to record decentralized exchange volume in 2026.
Analysts, however, warn that volatility remains extreme in the meme coin sector. Reports cited automated trading bots as accounting for between 60% and 80% of volume on some Solana meme coin platforms, contributing to distorted price movements and rapid trend reversals.
Most UFO meme coins have no direct connection to the Pentagon’s UAP disclosures. Instead, prices appear driven primarily by social media hype and short-term speculative trading. Traders are also watching future Pentagon file releases closely, since each new document drop could trigger additional meme coin rallies across the Solana ecosystem.
President Donald Trump also added to public attention by supporting the release of government information related to UFOs, extraterrestrial life, and unidentified aerial phenomena. As long as public fascination with UFO disclosures continues, Solana meme coins linked to the theme may remain highly active, though investors are cautioned about pump-and-dump risks and sharp corrections.
