On 16/04, Song Ba Joint Stock Company (HOSE: SBA) announced that Mr. Đỗ Ngọc Trần Thiêm was elected as the new Chairman of the Board, replacing Mr. Thái Hồng Quân, who resigned to retire.
Earlier, on 15/04, SBA held its 2026 annual general meeting in Da Nang. The meeting approved the company’s 2025 business results, including profits exceeding the plan, and set financial targets for 2026. The AGM also approved a plan to issue additional shares to increase charter capital from equity.
At the meeting, Mr. Thái Hồng Quân stepped down as Chairman of the Board to retire under the regime from November 2026 (effective date 15/04).
Concurrently, Mr. Đỗ Ngọc Trần Thiêm was elected to the Board for the 2026–2031 term and was subsequently elected Chairman of the Board.
Mr. Đỗ Ngọc Trần Thiêm currently serves as Deputy Chief of Office of the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and is the representative of the Central region Electric Power Corporation (EVNCPC) at SBA. He holds more than 11.8 million shares, representing over 19% of SBA’s charter capital.
SBA reported a successful 2025, with major business indicators significantly surpassing targets.
For 2026, SBA set more conservative targets based on the company’s assessment of the actual situation.
In addition to approving the profit distribution plan, the AGM also approved a plan to issue shares to increase ordinary share capital from equity, aimed at strengthening the company’s financial position for the next development phase.
