The Market Management Department of Ho Chi Minh City detected more than 10,000 liters of diesel oil of unknown origin on two vessels operating in Ward Vung Tau.
On April 15, the Market Management Team No. 21, in coordination with the Economic Police Department (PC03), inspected ships PL28 and BY27 at Sao Mai Port in Ward Vung Tau, Ho Chi Minh City.
Authorities recorded a total of 10,018 liters of diesel oil of unknown origin. Of this amount, PL28 carried 2,006 liters and BY27 carried 8,012 liters.
During the inspection, the two captains admitted to selling diesel of unknown origin without the required licenses.
Authorities fined the captain of PL28 50 million dong and seized the entire contraband.
For BY27, the case file was forwarded to competent authorities for a penalty of 115 million dong and seizure of more than 8,000 liters of oil.
