Phu Quoc–Seoul is the airline’s second international route, with one daily flight starting April 17 as part of its “Rise to Asia” strategy. Flight 9G450 departs Phu Quoc International Airport at 2:25 a.m. on April 17 and arrives at Incheon International Airport in Seoul at 9:55 a.m. local time. The return Seoul–Phu Quoc service departs at 12:35 p.m. local time and has carried nearly 230 passengers from Seoul to Phu Quoc.
The Phu Quoc–Seoul route is expected to increase to two flights per day in the next phase. The service operates on a full-service model, including meals, checked luggage, a business class cabin, and priority services.
Alongside Phu Quoc’s tourism–resort–entertainment ecosystem, the airline said it is expanding passengers’ journeys into a broader experience. Passengers flying with the airline receive Sun World Hon Thom cable car tickets until the end of June this year, along with up to 30% discounts on accommodation, dining, spa, and entertainment services in Phu Quoc.
The route is positioned as a strategic connectivity axis, aimed at giving the island deeper access to Northeast Asian markets and expanding connections to other regions through one of the region’s major aviation hubs. The airline said establishing direct flights will help grow the passenger network and improve access to international markets.
On the same day, the airline opened a second Sun Executive Lounge at the international terminal of Phu Quoc International Airport. The lounge is designed under the concept of an aviation academy by architect Bill Bensley, combining Vietnamese cuisine with a selection of international culinary brands. The investment is intended to enhance service quality and integrate cultural elements and identity into the flight experience.
Sun PhuQuoc Airways is also deploying a hotel check-in model, allowing passengers to complete check-in and receive boarding passes at their hotel. Luggage is checked in and transported directly to the airport following standard procedures, helping save passengers time and support a smoother start to their vacation.
In the initial phase, the service is available for guests staying at Sun Group hotels La Festa Phu Quoc – Curio Collection by Hilton and New World Phu Quoc Resort, as well as for guests staying in Sunset Town and Bai Kem. “The combination of lounge access and hotel check-in demonstrates a seamless ‘flight–resort’ journey, where the experience extends beyond the flight and lasts throughout the trip,” a Sun PhuQuoc Airways representative said.

Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
