On April 25, Tan Son Nhat International Airport said that on the first day of the Hung Kings Day holiday, it is expected to handle 722 flights (domestic and international), serving about 124,000 passengers. Passenger volumes are higher than on ordinary days and are evenly distributed across domestic and international flights.
Passengers are advised to be careful to avoid confusing terminals, particularly the domestic terminals T1 and T3. After nearly a year since opening, Terminal T3 has recorded substantially higher passenger traffic than Terminal T1. On April 25, Terminal T3 served about 42,300 passengers, while Terminal T1 welcomed about 30,000.
According to Tan Son Nhat International Airport statistics, during the Hung Kings holiday and the 30-4 and 1-5 holidays, the airport is expected to operate an average of about 750 flights per day, an increase of about 12% compared with the regular flight schedule.
On peak days such as 29-4 and 3-5, the number of flights can reach up to 770 per day, with passenger traffic of about 130,000 per day.
The airport authority said it has coordinated with related units to implement service plans and ensure security and safe operations during peak periods. Flight information updates are also performed continuously to coordinate and allocate resources effectively during busy hours.
The flight information display system at Terminal T1 and Terminal T3 is kept updated to help passengers monitor flight movements. If passengers go to the wrong terminal, electronic board information will be adjusted to be easier to observe, supporting timely travel to their destinations.
