The 100-meter Dang Thai Mai Street construction project, running from Xuân Diệu Street to Au Cơ Street, has an investment of more than 642 billion VND. The project is intended to complete local planning, develop urban space, and support economic and tourism development in the area.
The road segment extends 100 meters, with its starting point intersecting Xuân Diệu Street and its ending point intersecting Au Cơ Street. The planned cross-section width is up to 93.6 meters. The carriageway includes two lanes, with lane widths of 7 meters and 9 meters, while sidewalks are planned on both sides at 5 meters each.
Based on calculations, the total investment averages more than 6.4 billion VND per meter of the project.
A representative of the Investment - Infrastructure Project Management Board of Tay Ho Ward said that although the project length is 100 meters, the total investment exceeding 600 billion VND is largely attributable to large land clearance compensation.
The representative said the project will reclaim about 4,000 square meters of land. The land compensation price approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee is about 130 million VND per square meter.
Land clearance is expected to be completed in Q2 2026. The representative also noted that 26 households are within the project’s scope. All households are located at position 1, with compensation for land clearance estimated at around 20 billion VND per household.
To date, the ward has approved plans for nearly 20 households. The provisional amount is more than 250 billion VND, not including other support.
The road’s scale extends to Au Cơ Street as part of central space planning for the Quảng An peninsula. The project is expected to improve local infrastructure and landscape, thereby supporting urban space development and tourism.
In planning terms, the route aligns with the capital’s orientation toward five major spatial axes: the Red River axis, West Lake–Ba Vì axis, West Lake–Cổ Loa axis, Nhật Tân–Nội Bài axis, and the South Hanoi axis.
The Dang Thai Mai extension to Au Cơ is described as having strategic importance as a “spine” linking the historical urban heritage space, West Lake–Cổ Loa–Gia Bình Airport, and providing a direct connection to the northern bank of the Red River, including Đông Anh—identified as a future hub for services, finance, technology, and innovation.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
