XRP price action has remained range-bound in recent weeks, but underlying market data suggests conditions are shifting from seller dominance toward a more balanced market. The Taker Buy/Sell Ratio is hovering near the 1.0 level, while overall trading volume has fallen sharply from earlier highs.
The Taker Buy/Sell Ratio is used to gauge short-term market sentiment. When the ratio stays below 1.0 consistently, prices typically face sustained downward pressure.
Despite the ratio remaining close to neutral for an extended period, XRP has held the $1.35–$1.45 range. This indicates buyers are absorbing available sell orders without a sharp breakdown.
CryptoQuant analyst PelinayPA said the recovery in the ratio while price remains stable is worth monitoring. The analyst noted that fading sell pressure alongside steady price action can appear during accumulation phases ahead of a larger move.
At present, the market structure does not show panic conditions: there is neither aggressive selling nor strong buying momentum. That balance aligns with a market pausing before its next directional move.
Both taker buy volume and taker sell volume have dropped significantly compared with January and February levels. The earlier sell spikes seen in those months are no longer present in the current data, suggesting seller strength has weakened even if buyer conviction has not fully returned.
Lower volume during a sideways price trend is often associated with accumulation. In this case, the absence of a breakdown despite weaker volume supports the idea that larger participants may be building positions without triggering major price swings.
PelinayPA added that whales appear to be stabilizing the market while energy builds ahead of a larger move. The analyst said that if the ratio remains above 1.0 for several consecutive days, a move toward the $1.50–$1.60 range becomes more likely.
Even with the improved balance, the article notes that no strong buying momentum has entered the market yet. A confirmed upside move would require rising buy volume alongside a sustained Taker Buy/Sell Ratio above 1.0.
Until those conditions are met, XRP is described as remaining in a sideways-to-slightly-bullish posture rather than a confirmed breakout phase.
