Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, a Politburo member and Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, will continue to be endorsed to serve as Chair of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee for the XI term, 2026–2031.
In remarks after taking office, Chair Bui Thi Minh Hoai said the newly trusted and endorsed members, on behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, thanked the Congress for its trust and confidence. She also expressed gratitude to the Party, the State, and the people and soldiers nationwide for their care and continued faith in the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
“The trust of the Congress is both an honor and a heavy responsibility for us. With all determination, we pledge: absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; maintain political resolve and moral integrity; dedicate ourselves, mobilize democracy and intelligence, uphold the spirit of responsibility, and strive to fulfill the assigned duties well.”
“Maintain unity and solidarity; be dynamic, creative, and innovative; implement in a coordinated manner the tasks and solutions to successfully carry out the resolutions of the Congress, contributing to the strengthening of the great national unity bloc, and clearly affirming the role and position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new phase of the revolutionary period,” she emphasized.
Earlier, the Congress discussed and approved the amended and supplemented Charter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
The Congress approved the size of the XI-term Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee at 405 members, including:
At the Congress, 397 individuals were endorsed to participate in the XI-term Central Committee for 2026–2031.
During the first session of the XI-term Central Committee, 70 individuals were democratically endorsed and elected to participate in the Presidium. The Congress also democratically elected 12 Presidium members to join the Standing Committee of the XI-term Central Committee.
From May 11–13, 2026, the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2026–2031 term took place at the National Convention Center in Hanoi under the theme: “Unity – Democracy – Innovation – Creativity – Development.”
