Cigna CEO Brian Evanko said the insurer is exploring strategic options for eviCore, a unit that manages medical claims and reviews prior authorization requests. Evanko also said Cigna plans to stop selling health insurance plans to individuals starting in 2027, describing the move as part of an effort to “position Cigna for the future.”
Saint Augustine’s University has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The Raleigh, North Carolina-based college reported liabilities between $50 million and $100 million and assets between $100 million and $500 million. The school’s enrollment has declined by more than 80% over the past decade, and students will need to find another accredited institution to complete their degrees, according to Bloomberg.
Wren Kitchens, a partner brand of Home Depot, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The company has closed 15 of its East Coast showrooms and in-store Home Depot studio locations. In a statement on its website, Wren Kitchens said: “We regret to inform you that our showrooms and studios are now closed.”
