Dong Nai province is preparing to invest in the expressway segment from Chau Duc Bridge (in the Ho Chi Minh City area) to Thu Bien Bridge, with construction expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026. On April 9, Deputy Chairman of the Dong Nai Province People’s Committee Ho Van Ha said the province has approved the implementation plan for Beltway 4 Ho Chi Minh City, specifically the section from Chau Duc Bridge to Thu Bien Bridge.
The Beltway 4 project will be implemented in two components:
The Deputy Chairman said responsibilities have been assigned to relevant departments and localities to ensure coordination among agencies, investors, and contractors to meet the project schedule and quality. The province will promote a “6 clear” approach: clear people, clear tasks, clear timing, clear responsibilities, clear outputs, and clear authority.
Beltway 4 – Ho Chi Minh City spans about 207 km, including more than 159 km in Phase 1. Total investment is over 120 trillion VND.
The Dong Nai section covers more than 46 km, from Km18+460 in Xuân Đường commune to Km64+540 in Thường Tân commune (TPHCM). Access roads total more than 60 km.

The project is described as a cross-regional transport initiative with a critical role in improving infrastructure, increasing regional connectivity, easing traffic, and creating new development space for Dong Nai and the Southern Key Economic Region.
