In the last trading session of April, member funds of Dragon Capital took a mixed stance on MWG shares (HOSE: MWG). Norges Bank and Vietnam Enterprise Investments Limited sold 200,000 and 461,366 MWG shares respectively, while Samsung Vietnam Securities Master Investment Trust bought 120,000 shares. Overall, the Dragon Capital group net sold 541,366 MWG shares.
Following the transactions, the ownership stake of the Dragon Capital group in MWG fell to 4.96%, equivalent to about 72.9 million shares. The group is no longer a major shareholder of the company.
Based on MWG’s closing price of 84,000 dong per share on 29/04, Dragon Capital is estimated to have earned about 45.5 billion dong from the net sale.
Separately, related to internal trading at MWG, Mr. Doan Van Hieu Em, a board member of MWG, recently registered to sell 2 million MWG shares in the period 06/05-04/06.
If the transaction is completed at the current market price, Mr. Hieu Em could receive about 168 billion dong, which would reduce his ownership to 0.1%, equivalent to 1.5 million shares.
According to the announcement, the purpose of Mr. Hieu Em’s transaction is to invest in the initial public offering (IPO) of Dien May Xanh (DMX).
