If you are using Google Chrome for daily work or entertainment, take a few minutes to check your browser version. Google has issued an emergency patch to fix 19 critical security vulnerabilities, protecting more than 3.5 billion users worldwide from potential attacks. A representative from Google's development team confirmed that the latest update will comprehensively address 19 security issues. To protect devices that have not yet updated, the company is currently disclosing details only for the three most dangerous vulnerabilities reported by independent researchers. The most severe among them is a vulnerability with CVE 2026-6919 in the Chrome DevTools tool. This is an extremely sophisticated flaw where the browser continues to process a memory region even after it has been freed. Exploiting this vulnerability, attackers could lure users to malicious websites to bypass the browser's security shields. Typically, Chrome updates are downloaded automatically in the background. However, this process would be moot and patches cannot be activated safely if users forget to restart the software. Therefore, you should proactively check right away by opening Chrome, clicking the three-dot icon in the top-right corner, going to Help, and selecting About Google Chrome. As soon as the system reports that the patch has finished downloading, you simply need to click Restart to have the device protected. Currently, Google has rolled out the safe version with build number 147.0.7727.116 for all Windows, macOS, and Linux computers. Some devices may receive updates ending in 117. If you are using a mobile device, especially Android, visit the Google Play Store to update your Chrome browser before it's too late. According to Khả Văn
