Hai Tien Beach Tourism Festival 2026 is set to open in a few days, as authorities in the two communes of Hoang Tien and Hoang Thanh mobilize resources to upgrade the urban landscape, address encroachments, and strengthen safety measures for visitors. This year, Hai Tien aims to welcome 2.3 million visitors and generate revenue of 4.7 trillion dong.
With the tourism season approaching, local authorities report that erosion-control work cannot be fully completed before peak travel. To maintain access and visitor experience, teams are temporarily filling sunken roads, cleaning the environment, restoring lighting poles, and replacing damaged greenery.
Alongside disaster mitigation, tourism infrastructure upgrades are being accelerated. Observation huts, warning signs, designated safe swimming zones, piers, and mooring areas have been established along the beachfront.
Accommodation providers are also renovating and upgrading hotels, restaurants, and entertainment facilities. Many lodging establishments are adding modern amenities and training staff on service skills and customer relations. Fire safety and food safety inspections have been intensified.
From early March 2026, the two communes coordinated efforts to prepare for the tourism season. The first step focused on encouraging encroachers on sidewalks and beaches to voluntarily dismantle and relocate kiosks.
On the morning of April 28, Hoang Tien Commune carried out a clearance operation to fully resolve encroachments, targeting street kiosks and stalls along Flamingo Beach. The task force, led by the Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of the commune, mobilized the commune police, the Military Command, Hoang Truong Border Post, and mass organizations. The operation was conducted openly, transparently, and in accordance with the law.
Authorities removed all illegally erected kiosks and stalls to restore space for the beach. They also warned that repeat violations could lead to seizure of materials, suspension of operations, or revocation of business licenses.
Border police and security forces stationed in the tourist area conducted inspections of the coastal terrain, installed boundary markers, and placed safety buoys to define safe swimming areas. Signage reading “Danger: Deep Water – No Swimming” was placed at vulnerable locations.
Coastline patrols have been intensified, with life-saving equipment kept on standby 24/7. Enforcement of regulations for marine service vessels has been strengthened, with penalties for violations of the beach-safety corridor.
Commune police increased patrols and traffic management along key coastal routes to prevent congestion as visitor numbers rise. Local authorities also mobilized women’s unions, youth unions, volunteer clubs, and students to participate in beach-cleaning operations under the motto “clean as we go,” emphasizing openness and transparency.
In 2026, Hai Tien targets about 2.3 million visitors and revenue of 4.7 trillion dong, ranking second in Thanh Hoa Province after Sam Son. The Hai Tien Beach Tourism Festival will officially open on the evening of April 30 under the theme “Hai Tien – Aspiring to reach farther.”
This is the first year the two communes coordinate to organize the festival, with plans for a large artistic program and a low-fireworks display to welcome visitors. Authorities, businesses, and residents say the coordinated efforts are intended to build an image of a civilized, safe, and attractive destination for travelers.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
