According to information from the Hanoi Police, Cau Giay Ward Police promptly assisted, verified, and resolved a case involving a mistaken transfer of a large sum, helping protect citizens’ legitimate rights.
At about 11:04 a.m. on April 10, 2026, Mr. V.H.S. (born 1996, residing in Vĩnh Thành commune, Hanoi) mistakenly transferred 355,695,000 VND to an MB Bank account under the name of Mr. N.V.P. (born 1983, residing in Cau Giay Ward, Hanoi).
After discovering the incident, Mr. S proactively contacted the recipient and went to the Cau Giay Ward Police to report the matter and request assistance.
Upon receiving the information, Cau Giay Ward Police acted swiftly. The police conducted verification, contacted the account holder to clarify the case, and carried out the process promptly and impartially in accordance with regulations to safeguard citizens’ lawful rights and support the parties in resolving the issue in a cooperative, goodwill spirit.
On April 12, 2026, Mr. N.V.P went to the Cau Giay Ward Police Station to work with the authorities, confirm receipt of the mistakenly transferred money, and voluntarily return the full amount of 355,695,000 VND to Mr. V.H.S.
After receiving the funds in full, Mr. V.H.S sent a letter thanking Cau Giay Ward Police for timely support, verification, and clarification. He also expressed appreciation for Mr. N.V.P’s integrity in returning the asset.
The Hanoi Police said the case was resolved promptly and in compliance with the law, helping protect citizens’ legitimate rights and reinforcing a sense of responsibility, law-abiding spirit, and honesty in society.
