Hanoi authorities plan to auction more than 39.25 million shares of Viet Ha Beverage and Investment Joint Stock Company, the owner of the Viet Ha Beer brand.
According to the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the Hanoi People’s Committee intends to auction over 39.25 million shares of Viet Ha Beverage and Investment JSC, equivalent to 51.04% of the company’s charter capital. The auction will be open only to domestic investors, with a starting price of 21,524 dong per share.
If all planned shares are sold, the Hanoi People’s Committee expects to raise at least 844.8 billion dong.

Viet Ha Beverage and Investment was transformed from Viet Ha Investment Co., Ltd. (the former Vinegar Workshop, established in 1966) under decision 3907/QD-UBND dated 27 June 2017 by the Hanoi People’s Committee. The company has operated as a joint stock company since 1 July 2017.
In 2015, the company proceeded with equitization under directive 2252/TTg-ĐMDN dated 29 December 2012, which approved the restructuring plan for 100% state ownership under Hanoi’s authority in the 2012–2015 period.
The company’s charter capital is 769 billion dong. Its main registered business lines include beer production and malt fermentation.
Viet Ha Beverage and Investment owns several brands, including Viet Ha Beer, Trang An confectionery, Hanoi biscuits and candy, and Ngoc Ha footwear.
In the real estate sector, the company is negotiating the transfer of agricultural land use rights with households to implement the Nam Thien Loc project, a mixed commercial, service, and product introduction complex for Viet Ha in Thien Loc commune, Hanoi. This is described as the basis for subsequent project steps under investment, land, and related laws.
The company has four subsidiaries: Viet Ha Bakery and Confectionery Joint Stock Company, Trang An Joint Stock Company, Viet Ha Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, and Viet Ha International Spirits Joint Stock Company. It also has four associates: Ngoc Ha Footwear Joint Stock Company, Dong Thap Joint Stock Company, Viet Ha Beer and Beverages Joint Stock Company, and Hanoi Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
Besides the Hanoi People’s Committee, other major shareholders include Vietnam Fruit and Agricultural Products Corporation (36.1%) and Vietnam National Exchange Trading International Joint Stock Company (12.56%).
