At the 2026 annual general meeting (AGM) held this morning, discussions drew a large number of shareholders who questioned Vingroup’s leadership on a range of issues, including the company’s public messaging and strategic direction.
One shareholder cited online content that, at times, misrepresents electric vehicles (EVs) or public urban development directions. In response, Pham Nhat Vuong said: “I greatly appreciate the sentiment. But I think that when people speak badly or fabricate information, there is a positive side: Vingroup is always in the minds of people. We must think positively.”
The shareholder proposed increasing direct communications with shareholders or customers through livestreams on platforms such as YouTube or Facebook. Vuong said that without such efforts, perceptions could turn negative, adding that he would not tolerate such behavior.
Vingroup said it aims to become a “creator enterprise” and reposition its role for the future, applying the principle flexibly based on the company’s core strengths. The group indicated it will participate in sectors where it can create differentiation, while noting it cannot do everything.
The AGM also discussed 2025 as a strategic pivot year, when Vingroup added green energy infrastructure and culture as new pillars. This expanded the group’s role from a multi-industry company toward a creator enterprise model.
For 2026, Vingroup said it will continue to focus on core areas including industry-technology, real estate, and travel-entertainment, while pushing new areas to support long-term growth.
Investors also asked about VinFast, which is viewed as a strategic pillar within Vingroup’s broader direction. Vuong emphasized that VinFast will remain an all-electric brand and reaffirmed the company’s product approach.
Vingroup reported that 2025 results included consolidated revenue exceeding VND 332,000 billion, after-tax profit over VND 11,000 billion, and assets surpassing VND 1.12 quadrillion.
For 2026, the company targets revenue of VND 485,000 billion, up 45.7% from 2025, and after-tax profit of VND 35,000 billion—three times higher than the same period last year.
Beyond VinFast, the AGM included questions related to technology and infrastructure development. Overall, the meeting reinforced Vingroup’s stated trajectory toward becoming a creator enterprise and its long-term growth strategy across both core and new pillars.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
