The People’s Committee of Quang Tri province has issued the Trade Promotion Plan for the 2026–2030 period, aiming to expand markets, promote digital transformation, and improve the competitiveness of local enterprises and cooperatives through trade promotion activities.
Under the plan, Quang Tri will focus on developing a modern distribution system, expanding domestic and international markets, and accelerating the application of e-commerce and digital transformation in trade promotion.
The province sets an average annual growth target of about 3–5% for consumption of key products, OCOP products, and representative rural industrial products. By 2030, it aims for around 60% of enterprises and cooperatives in the province to participate in e-commerce platforms and the digital environment.
Quang Tri also plans to improve product quality and design by supporting enterprises and cooperatives through training programs, workshops, and the hiring of product development consultants. Each year, the province expects to support brand building and development for about 3–5 products to increase value added and market competitiveness.
Regular training will be organized on trade promotion, sales skills, and branding, with priority given to small and medium-sized enterprises and cooperatives.
To achieve these targets, Quang Tri will implement multiple groups of tasks and solutions. The province will continue organizing and participating in trade fairs and exhibitions domestically and internationally, prioritizing events linked to modern distribution systems, retail chains, and major shopping centers.
Supply–demand connectivity will be strengthened through programs including Quang Tri Product Week, OCOP Product Connectivity Day, and product introduction events at key markets. Quang Tri will also organize working sessions between management agencies, enterprises, and distribution systems to help businesses understand technical standards, trade policies, and market requirements.
Digital trade promotion is identified as a core focus. The province will support enterprises in building storefronts on e-commerce platforms, applying information technology and digital marketing, and using livestream selling to expand distribution channels and reach customers more effectively.
In addition to domestic market development, the plan will continue the program to bring Vietnamese goods to rural and mountainous areas. Quang Tri will also support enterprises in accessing international markets, especially Laos, Thailand, and the ASEAN region.
According to the People’s Committee of Quang Tri, total funding for the 2026–2030 plan is expected to exceed VND 50.3 billion. Of this, the provincial budget accounts for about VND 37.31 billion, with more than VND 13 billion coming from socio-economic sources.
