Ripple said it has opened a new Middle East and Africa regional headquarters in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), expanding its presence in the UAE as demand grows for regulated blockchain-powered payment and custody solutions across the region.
The company said the new office creates capacity to double its regional operations.
Ripple said the expansion will affect its clients and partners across the Middle East and Africa, including Zand Bank, Ctrl Alt, Garanti BBVA, Absa Bank, and Chipper Cash.
Ripple added that the larger DIFC office reflects growth since it first established its regional headquarters in Dubai in 2020, and that the Middle East now represents a significant share of its global customer base.
Ripple pointed to two regulatory milestones in connection with its expanded operations:
