Techcom Life, the life-insurance arm of the Techcombank ecosystem, officially announced a strategic partnership with Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) – a leading global life and health reinsurance group – at a signing ceremony on March 30, 2026. The collaboration aims to leverage RGA’s global life and health reinsurance expertise, technology, and international practices to build a robust life-insurance governance and operating framework aligned with international standards, enabling sustainable growth and strong risk management. The partnership will also give Techcom Life access to global best practices and technical know-how from RGA from the outset as the company expands in Vietnam’s dynamic market. In this framework, RGA will not only serve as a reinsurer but will also support product development and optimize operations across Techcom Life’s life-insurance portfolio, focusing on product innovation and enhanced operational capabilities. RGA is a leading global life and health reinsurance group, active in more than 15 markets in APAC, with approximately USD 4.3 trillion in force and USD 156.6 billion in assets as of December 31, 2025. The partnership is described as the first-of-its-kind in Vietnam between a newly formed life insurer and an international reinsurer, expected to broaden access to financial-protection solutions, raise market standards, and strengthen long-term customer trust. Techcom Life CEO Mukesh Pilania stated that the alliance reflects Techcom Life’s strategy to drive innovation and strengthen risk governance by combining local market insight with RGA’s global practices to deliver reliable insurance solutions and elevate customer experiences across the Techcombank ecosystem into insurance. Sainthan Satyamoorthy, CEO for Southeast Asia at RGA, said they are proud to partner with Techcom Life at this important growth phase. Techcom Life is positioning itself as a market leader, building on a strong financial-ecosystem foundation and long-term growth potential. Our global risk-management expertise, combined with Techcombank’s network and Techcom Life’s commitment to innovation, will establish new standards in operations and risk governance for Vietnam’s promising insurance market.
