VietJet Air announced leadership changes at its annual April meeting, appointing Khuất Việt Hùng, a former chair of Hanoi Metro, as a new member of the company’s board. The appointment follows his earlier step down from his role with Hanoi authorities.
In the same update, VietJet Air named Nguyễn Thanh Sơn as chief executive officer, effective April 29, to succeed Đinh Việt Phương. Đinh Việt Phương was elected First Vice Chairman of the Board for the 2022–2027 term.
Khuất Việt Hùng’s experience includes transport operations management and safety. His previous roles include Director of the Institute of Transport Planning and Management, Director of the Center for International Cooperation on Transport Training and Research, Head of the Transport Department, and Deputy Chairman of the National Traffic Safety Committee.
