From 9:00 a.m. today, Vinaphone officially suspended outbound voice calls and SMS for nearly 3 million SIMs that require information verification under Circular 08/2026/TT-BKHCN but have not completed the verification process. The affected SIMs will still be able to receive calls and messages, meaning customers should not worry if their SIM becomes “one-way blocked.”
This suspension is described as the first step in the regulator-mandated subscriber management program. Customers are given time to complete verification and restore full service.
Vinaphone states that immediately after successful verification, service will be restored for the applicable features without waiting for later milestones. Customers who have just experienced a one-way block are encouraged to verify promptly to quickly restore connectivity.
Vinaphone previously reported that 18 million SIMs have completed verification, leaving about 3 million still pending under the new regulation.
Vinaphone said customers can verify through multiple channels:
When verifying, customers should bring their citizen ID card or other valid identification for required information cross-checking.
The operator urged customers who received verification notices but have not yet completed the process to finish promptly to avoid disruptions to communication and service use.
