BIDV has appointed Lê Ngọc Lâm as Chairman of the Board for the 2022-2027 term and Hoàng Việt Hùng as Chief Executive Officer, alongside two new Deputy General Directors. The appointments take effect from July 1, 2026.
Accordingly, Lê Ngọc Lâm, a member of BIDV’s Board of Directors for the 2022-2027 term, was elected Chairman of the BIDV Board for the 2022-2027 term.
Lê Ngọc Lâm was born in 1975 and holds a Master of Finance - Banking. He joined BIDV in 1997 and has nearly 30 years with the bank. Prior to being elected Chairman, he held several senior roles, including Deputy Director of the Credit Risk Management Division, Deputy Director of Trading Center 1, Director of the Credit Risk Management Division, Director of Corporate Banking, and Deputy CEO. In March 2021, he was appointed as BIDV’s Chief Executive Officer.
On the same day, the BIDV Board also issued a decision appointing Hoàng Việt Hùng, Deputy CEO of BIDV, as Chief Executive Officer for a five-year term.
Hoàng Việt Hùng was born in 1972 and joined BIDV in 1996. He has held multiple positions within the bank’s system. Before being appointed CEO, he served as Deputy Director, Director of BIDV Nghệ An, Director of the HR and Organization Department, and Deputy CEO.
BIDV also appointed two additional Deputy General Directors. Le Huy Hoang, Director of the HR and Organization Department, was appointed Deputy CEO. At the same time, Vu Hoang Duong, Director of BIDV’s Transaction Center 1, was appointed Deputy CEO.
Both appointments carry five-year terms and take effect from July 1, 2026.
