Fortune magazine has released its list of Southeast Asia’s 500 largest companies, marking the third consecutive year the magazine has published the ranking. The selection is based on companies’ total revenue generated across seven economies in the region: Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, and Cambodia.
Fortune ranks Vingroup No. 1 among private-sector groups in Vietnam and No. 26 overall among Southeast Asia’s 500 largest companies. This year’s list highlights companies positioned to benefit from shifts in the global supply chain and to capitalize on rapid growth in leading industries, including electric vehicles and artificial intelligence.
Fortune also points to Vingroup’s financial performance and operating efficiency. In 2025, Vingroup reported revenue of USD 12.76 billion, up 69.1% from the previous year in the 2025 ranking. The group posted USD 436.5 million in net profit and reported total assets of USD 42.536 billion.
Vingroup operates across multiple sectors, including Technology – Industry, Commerce – Services, Infrastructure, Green Energy, Culture, and Social Welfare.
Under the Technology – Industry pillar, VinFast has strengthened its position in Vietnam’s electric car and scooter market while expanding internationally. In 2025, VinFast delivered nearly 200,000 electric vehicles globally, up 102% from 2024. Deliveries exceeded the 2025 target and were the highest since the company’s establishment. In Q1 2026, VinFast delivered 58,577 electric vehicles across all markets, up 61% year-on-year.
In the Commerce – Services pillar, Vinhomes maintained market leadership with 32 real estate projects in operation, accommodating 650,000 residents. In 2025, Vinhomes recorded sales of VND 205,300 billion, up 98% year-on-year, with more than 34,000 units handed over. Unrecorded revenue reached VND 186,400 billion. Consolidated net revenue rose to VND 153,271 billion, up 49.8% from 2024. Net profit in 2025 totaled VND 43,335 billion, up 23.6% from 2024 and exceeding the planned target.
For 2026, Vinhomes plans to launch a series of super-urban projects nationwide, including Vinhomes Global Gate Ha Long in Quang Ninh spanning more than 6,200 hectares, Vinhomes Hai Van Bay in Da Nang spanning more than 512 hectares, and Vinhomes Saigon Park in Ho Chi Minh City spanning 1,080 hectares.
Vinpearl continues to lead in tourism and entertainment, operating 60 facilities across 20 provinces. Its ecosystem includes more than 17,500 hotel and resort rooms, 15 VinWonders theme parks, 6 premium golf courses, and 3 internationally rated conference centers, along with the VinPalace theater. The group also operates 2 wildlife sanctuaries and a horse-racing academy. Fortune notes that light-based shows at destinations such as Nha Trang and Phu Quoc attract millions of visitors annually.
In Infrastructure, VinSpeed has started two first high-speed rail projects in Vietnam: Ben Thanh – Can Gio in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi – Quang Ninh. The Hanoi – Quang Ninh segment began in early April 2026 and is described as the first cross-regional high-speed rail line to be implemented in Vietnam, aimed at supporting the Northern Key Economic Region and improving national competitiveness.
In Green Energy, VinEnergo announced plans to expand in Asia and Europe through renewable energy projects totaling 10 GW under implementation agreements. In Vietnam, the company received investment certificates for four projects.
Under the Social Welfare pillar, VinUniversity became the youngest university in Vietnam to receive the FIBAA Quality Seal in March 2026. In healthcare, Vinmec opened its 10th hospital, featuring more than 31,000 square meters, 114 inpatient beds, and an expected annual capacity of 135,000 visits.
By the end of 2025, Vingroup launched the Culture pillar to preserve and promote national identity and enhance people’s spiritual lives while spreading Vietnamese culture globally. In May of this year, the group announced its strategy to develop V-Film under the Culture pillar, covering film production and distribution, and television programming, with the aim of building the Vietnamese film industry toward professionalism, modernization, and international integration.
