Carlsberg Vietnam and the Huda beer brand continued their partnership with VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 for the fifth consecutive year, serving as one of the main sponsors and using the event to reinforce the company’s “Growth Culture” and healthy-living message.
Held in Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam, this year’s edition drew more than 8,000 athletes from across the country along one of the country’s most distinctive running routes. Carlsberg Vietnam said the participation reflected teamwork and leadership, extending the spirit of cohesion beyond the race itself.
Nearly 200 employees from many departments, including the leadership team and CEO Andrew Khan, joined the race across multiple distances. Carlsberg Vietnam described the group participation as a shift from titles to a unified team pursuing a common goal, with the presence of senior leaders underscoring that leadership also means walking alongside employees and building trust through action.
The partnership is described as especially meaningful because Hue is not only the race venue, but also the birthplace of the Huda brand and the location of the Phu Bai brewery. Carlsberg Vietnam said Hue has long been a strategic center for its development, where it built early foundations, developed relationships with the local community, and sustained long-term commitments to the Central region.
Carlsberg Vietnam positioned VnExpress Marathon Hue 2026 as one milestone in a broader effort to build a healthy living culture and a sustainable working environment. The company said the same spirit is reflected in nationwide sports initiatives and team-building activities, along with the Carlsberg Well-being platform.
According to the company, the goal is to invest in a workplace where employees can grow sustainably—succeeding in their roles while also staying healthy, balanced, and engaged over the long term.
Carlsberg Vietnam said its definition of growth goes beyond business results, emphasizing trust, opportunities, and an environment where individuals can develop. The company added that when teams cross the finish line together, it represents not only completing a race, but also the corporate culture it is building—leadership expressed through action and success as a shared journey.
For Carlsberg Vietnam, the company said brewing beer is also about building stronger teams and closer communities, contributing to a better present and a brighter future.
Premium gym chains are entering a “golden era” that is ending or already in decline, as rising operating costs collide with shifting consumer preferences toward more flexible, community-based ways to exercise. Long-term memberships are shrinking, margins are pressured by higher rents and facility expenses, and competition from smaller, more personalized…
