Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company has announced a partnership with Workday to implement a Human Capital Management (HCM) platform designed to create a more transparent and trusted working environment, with employees empowered to develop based on clear, connected data.
Workday, described as an enterprise AI platform for managing people, finance and partners, has partnered with more than 60% of Fortune 500 companies. Coteccons said it will localize and implement the platform to match operational needs in the construction sector.
The company cited Vietnam’s young workforce—nearing 70% of the working age—as a driver of rising demand for modern workplace systems. It said younger employees increasingly expect rapid career progression, real-time feedback and a smooth digital experience similar to consumer applications.
To meet these expectations, Coteccons said the partnership will support centralized data systems, operational optimization and a long-term foundation for talent development. It also noted that the construction industry remains slow in digital transformation, and that Coteccons views HR management as a strategic pillar rather than a purely administrative function.
The collaboration is structured around three objectives: HR digital transformation, optimizing employee experience, and enhancing operational efficiency.
Coteccons said the implementation aims to build a unified, transparent and reliable HR platform. It also expects to improve employee experience, help managers make data-driven decisions in real time, and reduce reliance on manual processes.
With an “Industry Leader” status, Coteccons said it is leading the deployment of Workday across the group, involving seven subsidiary companies: Unicons, Covestcons, Sinh Nam Façade, CTD Global, UG M&E, GEO Foundations and VSOL.
The implementation will proceed in two stages with three steps. Stage 1 focuses on building a unified data platform with transparent performance metrics. Stage 1B expands HR lifecycle governance and integrates payroll, linking goals, competencies and rewards on a common platform. Stage 2 will roll out across the entire group to complete HR transformation and operate Coteccons on a unified HCM system.
Coteccons said the approach aligns with its long-term development strategy: standardizing HR systems to international standards to prepare for global expansion; turning technology and data into core operating capabilities; and building a human-centered company where culture places people at the center to underpin innovation and sustainable growth.
Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang, Deputy General Director of Coteccons Operations, said that to be recognized as an industry leader, Coteccons needs a unified and smart operating platform that can keep pace with growth. She added that the partnership with Workday is a long-term strategic choice grounded not only in technology, but also in cultural alignment and a shared approach to organizational development.
Fabio Tiviti, Vice Chairman of the Group, Strategy and Operations at Workday, said Coteccons is setting a new standard for the construction industry by treating digital transformation as a people-centered initiative. He said Workday will provide Coteccons with enterprise AI capabilities and data-driven insights, similar to those used by leading organizations worldwide.
Workday also said it is collaborating with Coteccons to build a more transparent and flexible workplace, positioned for the future and intended to help talent maximize its potential in the current market.
